In The Galaxy Podcast A podcast about music where hosts Michael GIlkison & Jaye Williams review albums, songs, and life in general.

This week we kick back, relax and talk about life. At the top we discuss starting over and fresh starts. It's scary but with the right perspective it could be the blessing you've always been looking for. Then, Michael tells a story about getting frustrated and sometimes that's bad, but sometimes it's ok to tap into frustration as long as it's channeled in the right way. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. Finally, we break down some current events.

A few years back, Michael had the privilege to interview former NWA manager and music business legend Jerry Heller.

Jerry passed away on September 3rd, 2016. We wanted to remember his legacy by re-releasing the interview for those that might have missed it, as well as to remind anyone that had already heard it.

Thank you so much for your contributions to music Jerry, we hope everyone hears your story and we hope you rest in peace.

On this episode of Soundoff, Jaye touches base on the last Soundoff and discusses some recent events reported by an article on Pitchfork (link below). The article points out that A-level musicians such as Taylor Swift, U2, Paul McCartney and more have signed a petition to the United States Congress to reform the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. The petition also takes issue with tech companies and names YouTube. Jaye gives his thoughts on the issues with this, as well as the implications meeting these artists demands.

Creative Control are conversations with creative individuals about their struggles, successes, and failure. For those living a creative lifestyle and on a creative journey, you're not alone.

On this episode, Jaye talks with long time ITG family member, stand up comedian and host of the Predictably Drunk podcast, Sam Marcoux. Sam is based out of San Jose, California. Though not a traditional hot bed of comedy, Sam is constantly on the grind. He is one of the hardest working creative individuals I know. In addition to comedy, Sam is fluent in the business side of being creative, as well as a passionate podcaster.

On this episode we discuss balancing the business side of being creative and knowing when to have fun and when to work. Additionally, Sam talks in depth about not falling into the party mentality when there is work to be done, even when that lifestyle is part of the greater community you're in.

Lastly, we go deep on talking about podcast struggles. We discuss growth, change, planning as podcasters and ways to move forward in the future.

On Creative Control episodes, Jaye dives into the trials and tribulations of creative individuals from various creative paths. As a creative individual, it's good to hear where people are at on their creative journeys, how they got there, and what they are doing. Chasing a creative dream can be incredibly difficult and it's important to hear other individuals perspectives to know we're not in it alone.

On this episode, Ryan Snelling from Filmbeef joins us for his monthly installment of Creative Control. Jaye invited him on monthly to share where he's at and give updates. We discuss how well things are going, seeing yourself as a peer to people you look up to, as well as sacrificing relationships with people because of your creative journey.
